    The Great Gaza Fraud

Since the Israeli Government forced all the Israeli settlers to evacuate the Gaza Strip in August 2005, thereby ending any possible claim to call the Strip "occupied territory", one would have thought that the daily barrage of Kassam rockets raining down on Israeli towns in the Western Negev would have ceased - but no. It has actually increased. I believe it would be fair to say that an active state of war exists in the region. And yet, in spite of that, the world still expects Israel to supply electricity and other strategic materials to what is, essentially, an enemy state. And not just the world. It has truly been said: "God protect me from my friends, my enemies I can take care of myself." When Israel decides to cut (by a very small percentage) the electricity supply to Gaza (and why the hell should we supply electricity to an enemy state?), our own bleeding-heart liberal left starts whingeing about "collective punishment" and even applies to the Israeli High Court of Justice (an entity most certainly not recognized by the Hamas leadership that controls Gaza ) in order to ensure that the State of Israel continues to supply electricity for the Hamas arms factories!  Here's a thought. When the UN authorized economic sanctions against Serbia, Iraq, Iran - wasn't that "collective punishment"? The Hamas State of Gaza is actively waging war against the State of Israel and its citizens, and we are supposed to supply them with the means to do it?!

If only Israel really would put the squeeze on Gaza...Frankly, I think it's high time to throw the switch and cut the power completely. However, that has not happened. The Palestinians, with their usual flair, put on a performance worthy of an Oscar. I refer to their candlelight demonstrations, their affecting claims that Gaza hospitals are without electricity, thanks to the heartlessness of the Zionists. And the world is so ready - yet again - to buy this bullshit! Despite the lessons that obviously were not learned during the second Lebanon War, despite the countless examples of Palestinian (and BBC and CNN) fauxtography, the Palestinian propaganda machine manages to sell the same lies, yet again, to a world all too eager to lap them up.

    Want some examples? Here goes:
The first three pictures are of the famous (or rather, infamous) candlelight demonstration in Gaza - candlelit, because Israel had supposedly thrown the switch and left them without electric power. But wait! The street lights seem to be working. And how come the shop windows are still lit up - and so brightly too? And what is powering the projector lights beaming down from overhead?

Need more proof? The next two pictures purportedly portray a poor little Palestinian baby in an incubator that doesn't work, because the wicked Zionists cut the power supply to the Gaza hospitals. (How dastardly can those Israelis getWink?) Look carefully at the second of the two pictures. Now tell me - what's powering the monitor?

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I rest my case.
